About The Position

As a Research Assistant I, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful research and community-based initiatives that support healthcare improvement and population health outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in Healthcare, nonprofit, or community-based settings
  • Experience in Research coordination, program evaluation, or grants management
  • Experience with IRB processes and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in Grant writing and funding support
  • Experience in Event coordination or stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborative and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communicator with excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Comfortable working with data, databases, and statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, or SAS
  • Able to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of research and community-based projects in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assist with regulatory processes, including IRB submissions and continuing reviews for active projects.
  • Help manage and organize project data, including database creation, data cleaning, and generating descriptive reports.
  • Participate in data collection activities, chart reviews, subject data acquisition, and secondary dataset analysis when applicable.
  • Collaborate with analysts and biostatisticians to prepare data tables, reports, and visual summaries.
  • Conduct literature reviews and policy research to support programming, research initiatives, and strategic planning.
  • Assist with developing research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and materials for funders and stakeholders.
  • Support grant development efforts by helping prepare applications and responding to funding opportunities.
  • Build relationships with community organizations and external partners to support collaborative projects.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, hospital leadership, and stakeholders across local, state, and national organizations.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented environment focused on achieving departmental and organizational goals.
  • Protect and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with organizational policies, annual training, and compliance standards.
