About The Position

Students working with Dr. Joon Seon Lee will gain hands-on experience in plant biology and field-based research. Research Assistants will participate in the collection of plant samples, followed by the preparation of herbarium-quality specimens through drying, pressing, and mounting techniques. This position offers students the opportunity to develop practical skills in plant identification, specimen preservation, and research documentation while contributing to ongoing scientific studies.

Requirements

  • 6 Months of Directly Relevant Experience

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, manipulate, and manage extensive databases.
  • Assist with the preparation of project-related reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Obtain informed consent of research subjects or their guardians.
  • Perform statistical analyses of data, using computer software.
  • Verify the accuracy and validity of data entered in databases, correcting any errors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
