About The Position

We are seeking research assistants to help run an in-person research study examining how teams work together on a laboratory task. In the study, teams of four participants will be trained to build electronic circuits using Snap Circuits and will then complete a series of team tasks. Teams will be video-recorded during the study and participants will complete several surveys throughout the session.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be undergraduate students at the University of Delaware.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Delaware and be in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing the laboratory and study materials before each session
  • Greeting participants and signing them in
  • Providing participants with study instructions and guiding them through the different stages of the task
  • Starting and stopping video recordings and ensuring that recordings are properly saved
  • Monitoring the session to make sure the study protocol is followed consistently
  • Saving and organizing study data following each session
  • Debriefing participants at the conclusion of the study
  • Resetting the laboratory and materials for the next session
