About The Position

This position involves assisting in the investigation of the brain correlates of impulsivity. The research project focuses on processing and analyzing neuroimaging data from the ABCD dataset, in consultation with graduate students. The incumbent will be responsible for independently writing code for data analysis, including documentation, and performing quality control on the code and analysis results. They will also relate genetic and phenotypic measures to brain anatomy. The candidate will be principally responsible for the design, development, and quality control of the data analysis, working in consultation with lab members and under the supervision of the principal investigator. They will carry out analysis of imaging data and actively participate in the design and execution of further studies. The incumbent is expected to design and execute experiments and analyze data independently under regular supervision, preparing data for presentation and preparing text and figures for manuscripts, thus becoming a contributing author to resulting publications.

Requirements

  • Strong background in coding (Python, R)
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of brain imaging
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located
  • English communication (verbal and in writing) at a level 4 on a scale of 0-4
