About The Position

This position is for a Research Assistant 2 in the Department of Music Research, specifically within Professor Stephen McAdams' Lab. The role involves providing multichannel files of orchestral simulations for audio analysis, contributing to improvements and maintenance of the OrchView software, and performing other related activities as assigned by the Supervisor. The position is part-time, with 17.5 hours per week, and is covered by the Association of McGill University Research Employees (AMURE) collective agreement. Requirements

• Expertise in orchestral simulation using the OrchSim system
• Expertise in the organization, function, and programming of the OrchView software
• Must be authorized to work in Canada
• Must be willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located
• English communication skills, both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Provide multichannel files of orchestral simulations for audio analysis
• Provide improvements to and maintenance of OrchView
• Any other related activities assigned by the Supervisor
