Research Assistant 2 - Research Operations Services & Support
About The Position
The Pre-Clinical Research Department at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a full-time, temporary (18 months) Research Assistant 2. This role involves all aspects of animal care, health monitoring, and husbandry, including providing food, water, and clean cages, conducting daily health and room checks, maintaining records, updating SOPs, and general cleaning. Additional responsibilities include obtaining and processing samples for animal health, genotyping, and environmental monitoring tests, administering treatments as directed by the Veterinarian, and assisting researchers with experimental procedures. Some assistance with cage wash duties and equipment maintenance may also be required. The Research Assistant 2 will contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, ensuring animal well-being and a safe, pleasant facility for researchers. The employee will support a diverse workplace and comply with all regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 250 College Street.

Responsibilities
