About The Position

This role involves collaborating with the women's cardiovascular health research team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). The primary focus is to provide support for specified research projects under direct supervision, including collecting, assessing, and communicating data and results. The position also assists with patient recruitment, research project operation, and inventory management. The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at VUMC is dedicated to advancing the understanding, prevention, and treatment of cardiovascular disease through research, patient care, and education. The Women's Cardiovascular Health Research team specifically focuses on innovative clinical and translational research related to pregnancy, hypertension, and cardiovascular conditions unique to women.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, run experiments, assays, and record results
• Screen and recruit subjects for clinical research projects
• Collect clinical data and record in RedCap database
• Collaborate with VUMC OB/GYN and external research teams
• Read and follow biospecimen protocols
• Compile and communicate results to supervisor
• Follow University safety protocols
• Maintain inventories
