About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a motivated individual with an interest in clinical and translational research to assist with clinical trial coordination and laboratory procedures within the Barry Baker Laboratory for Head and Neck Oncology and the Head and Neck Biorepository and Clinical Database. This position supports Head and Neck clinical trials and the Head and Neck Biorepository for a 1-year term. The individual will coordinate, under guidance, the approval processes and conduct of research protocols for multiple clinical studies and trials, ensuring the integrity and quality of the research is maintained in accordance with all policies. Additional responsibilities will include specimen processing, database entry, and data analysis. This role is ideal for individuals seeking experience during a gap year before medical school. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable in an evolving environment, organized, and focused on quality, accuracy, and problem-solving.
