About The Position

At CIBC Innovation, we are building the bank of the future. As a Research & Strategy Co-op you will support the team by analyzing different trends in technology. You’ll present your findings to senior management through creating excellent decks and support with drafting executive briefings. Additionally, you’ll be exposed to the lifecycle of various projects as a result of your research efforts. In this role, you’ll attend various events hosted by the team educating others on emerging trends in technology. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies.
  • Ability to simplify terminology for key stakeholders through verbal and written presentations.
  • Ability to create amazing decks that tell visual stories, to educate and influence stakeholders on innovative themes.
  • Actively seek new knowledge and know that there is no limit to what you can achieve.
  • Build and manage complex stakeholder relationships, ensuring all partners and stakeholders are appropriately engaged for design-related deliverables.
  • Team player and enjoy working collaboratively.
  • Comfortable deciphering what needs to be done next.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions that involve research, interpretation, and assessment.
