About The Position

The Research & Insights Manager plays a central role in advancing how Purpose Brands, including Orangetheory Fitness, Anytime Fitness, understands its customers, markets, and long-term growth opportunities. This position is responsible for guiding high-stakes, end-to-end research initiatives, shaping learning agendas, and ensuring that decisions across our portfolio are grounded in a clear understanding of consumer behaviors and market dynamics. In this role, you will lead the design and execution of research programs, integrate insights from multiple sources, and deliver analysis that informs brand strategy, product development, and customer experience priorities. Success requires strong analytical rigor, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex findings into practical guidance for leaders across marketing, operations, and product teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Customer Experience, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer experience program management, marketing operations, or vendor/platform management.
  • Proven experience managing Medallia or a similar CX platform across multiple brands or business units.
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives in complex organizations.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn insights into strategic action.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fitness, hospitality, franchising, or multi-brand organizations.
  • Experience conducting research in international markets
  • Medallia Admin Certification or equivalent platform expertise.
  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping and CX frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic insights partner to brand, marketing, and product teams, helping define learning priorities and research approaches.
  • Lead the scoping, design, and execution of qualitative and quantitative research, including ad hoc, foundational, and tracking studies.
  • Combine customer feedback, category trends, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities, risks, and market shifts.
  • Deliver synthesized insights and actionable guidance that support brand strategy, audience development, product innovation, and experience design.
  • Manage external research partners to ensure quality execution and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Champion the voice of the customer and help strengthen a customer-centric culture across Purpose Brands.
  • Serve as the primary insights partner for Purpose Brands’ international markets, supporting audience understanding, brand performance, and market dynamics.
  • Lead the scoping, design, and execution of international market research (ad hoc, foundational, syndicated, and partner-led studies).
  • Analyze and synthesize global research to identify trends, opportunities, and country-specific needs that inform brand, product, and market strategy.
  • Partner with international marketing and operations teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive growth and market relevance.
  • Coordinate with global and regional stakeholders to ensure research quality, consistency, and alignment with enterprise learning agendas.
