Research and Evaluation Associate (Part-time/Seasonal/Summer)
About The Position
The Fresh Air Fund is a youth development organization providing transformative outdoor experiences, at no cost, for New York City children from underserved communities. At six sleepaway camps in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley, children have new experiences, learn new skills and gain new perspectives. Youth also participate in year-round leadership, career exploration and educational programs. We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Associate to support our program evaluation efforts. This role primarily involves manually entering paper-and-pencil survey data into SurveyMonkey and other online survey platforms to help assess the impact of our summer programs. This is a short-term, part-time position based in our New York City office. This role reports to the Director of Research and Evaluation.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or set to begin an undergraduate program in the fall
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Commitment to the mission of youth development and equity
Nice To Haves
- Experience with data entry or administrative work
- Familiarity with SurveyMonkey or other online survey platforms
Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing survey materials and preparing batches of surveys for entry
- Accurately input survey responses from paper forms into SurveyMonkey
- Ensure data integrity by reviewing entries for errors and inconsistencies
- Organize and track completed surveys for processing
- Assist with basic data cleaning and verification as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive participant information responsibly
- Other responsibilities as assigned
