About The Position
The Research and Development (R&D) Intern will support the analytical group by conducting bench-top chemistry testing, including testing required for engine oils. The internship is a paid, on-site summer opportunity lasting up to 12 weeks and starting in May 2027. Valvoline Global Operations Americas Headquarters is in Lexington, Kentucky; the company prefers candidates willing to work in the office four days per week.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college program in Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering.
- Good teamwork mentality.
- Good communication skills.
- Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Follow Valvoline RC 14001 rules to perform work safely.
- Become familiar with the VLIMS system to collect and record data.
- Perform bench-top testing required for engine oils.
- Analyze data and communicate with fleet stakeholders.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time.
