About The Position

The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a full-time Research Analyst for a one-year term. This role involves working collaboratively with a team of researchers on a suicide-related research program that utilizes advanced statistical techniques. The Research Analyst will report to a Scientist leading the research program. IMHPR is dedicated to informing policy and practice on mental illness and substance use disorders through collaborative research and the development of prevention and intervention initiatives, with a commitment to equity and the social determinants of health. Requirements

  • Advanced statistical techniques
  • Quantitative analyses (e.g., basic descriptive statistics, regression analyses, etc.)
  • Draft academic manuscripts
  • Creating presentations, infographics, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of research protocols and submissions to the research ethics board and other regulatory bodies
  • Conduct quantitative analyses (e.g., basic descriptive statistics, regression analyses, etc.)
  • Write up study results for publications and reports (e.g., draft academic manuscripts)
  • Engage in knowledge translation activities (e.g., creating presentations, infographics, etc.)
  • Organize and participate in meetings with stakeholders and research working groups
