The Research Analyst is the primary technical and analytical staff role for the Office of Institutional Research & Institutional Effectiveness. The incumbent serves as the primary technical coordinator for assigned institutional research, institutional reporting, assessment-support, and compliance-reporting functions; produces and validates institutional reports; develops dashboards, one-pagers, census and post-census packages, and recurring data packets; supports required federal, state, accreditation, and other official reporting; and maintains the documentation, methodology notes, data dictionary, change log, and reporting repository needed to make institutional reporting repeatable, accurate, and dependable over time. The Research Analyst also supports a culture of evidence by helping institutional stakeholders understand what the data mean, what the limits of the data are, and how information should be interpreted for planning and improvement. The position may use institutionally approved AI-enabled tools to improve workflow efficiency, documentation, summarization, query support, data-cleaning processes, and draft reporting products while maintaining human review, data privacy, methodological transparency, and responsibility for validated institutional data.
