About The Position

Health Choice Network is seeking a Research Analyst to support community-engaged research, program evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives focused on Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and the populations they serve. This role is responsible for data management, statistical analysis, reporting, and research dissemination across a portfolio of projects aimed at improving health outcomes and advancing health equity.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a related quantitative field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a doctoral degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in R, including the tidyverse package.
  • Experience working with healthcare, EHR, claims, registry, or survey data.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling and quantitative research methods.
  • Experience managing projects from data acquisition and cleaning through analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar electronic data capture systems.
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
  • Commitment to reproducible research and data documentation practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FQHCs, community health centers, or health equity research.
  • Familiarity with Epic EHR data and extraction processes.
  • Experience with REDCap instrument design and validation.
  • Knowledge of social determinants of health and community-based research.
  • Experience supporting federally funded research projects (HRSA, NIH, PCORI).
  • Familiarity with GIS or geospatial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct statistical analyses using R for research, evaluation, and quality improvement projects.
  • Clean, transform, merge, and validate data from multiple sources, including EHRs, surveys, and REDCap databases.
  • Develop statistical analysis plans, codebooks, and data dictionaries.
  • Perform power and sample size calculations.
  • Create publication-quality tables, figures, reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Support grant proposals, IRB submissions, and evaluation planning activities.
  • Assist with the development and testing of data collection instruments, including REDCap surveys.
  • Collaborate with research staff, FQHC partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference abstracts, and presentations.
  • Maintain data security and compliance with HIPAA, IRB, and organizational research standards.
