The Research Analyst is responsible for data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting to support the College’s systematic and ongoing institutional effectiveness, research, reporting, and assessment activities. This role involves developing and maintaining a comprehensive plan for identifying, analyzing, and communicating critical information and data to support the College’s strategic and operational plans. The analyst will design and execute quantitative, qualitative, and survey research projects, working with large, complex datasets from various sources, cleaning data, and maintaining historical records. A key part of the role is preparing clear and concise reports, charts, and tables for multiple audiences, while ensuring the security of confidential information. The position also involves maintaining various formats for disseminating key performance data, assisting with state and federal reporting requirements (e.g., THECB, IPEDS), and developing training materials for faculty and staff on institutional effectiveness processes. Additionally, the Research Analyst will conduct research on best practices, support the accreditation process, and assist with systematic review and evaluation of planning units. The role requires regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to college standards, policies, and guidelines, utilizing interpersonal skills and sound judgment in interactions with colleagues, faculty, staff, students, and customers. The position also involves supporting institutional goals, completing required training, promoting positive morale, and providing exceptional customer service. Effective communication, problem definition, data collection, and valid conclusion drawing are essential. Working hours may include evenings, holidays, or weekends depending on deadlines and special events.
