The State of Connecticut, Department of Labor (DOL) is currently recruiting to fill a Research Analyst position within the agency's Office of Research, located in Wethersfield, CT. This role involves conducting all aspects of the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses (SOII), a mandatory survey collected from private and public sector employers. The analyst will contact respondents via phone and email to clarify and correct data, explain Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules, and document all changes. Additionally, the analyst will contact non-respondents to collect survey data and use required classification manuals to code descriptions of injuries or illnesses. The Office of Research is Connecticut’s leading producer of information and statistics on the economy, workplace, occupations, and careers, preparing resources for assessing the state’s needs for skilled workers, assisting in economic development, aiding in program planning for education and training providers, and guiding career choices.
