About The Position

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is hiring a full-time Research Analyst 3 in Miami, Florida. The role prepares high-level data, conducts complex statistical analyses, and summarizes results for research projects. It supervises evaluation projects and junior staff to help ensure departmental activities comply with applicable guidelines and regulations. The position also coordinates international biological specimen and sample logistics, including shipments and regulatory compliance tracking. It serves as a liaison for research studies, supporting administrative and financial documentation for collaborating institutions. The role leads development and harmonization of study protocols, standard operating procedures, and research workflows to promote consistency and compliance with scientific and regulatory requirements. It coordinates training and capacity-building for research personnel, monitors study progress and deliverables, facilitates communication and problem-solving across sites, and serves as the primary contact between the local research team and global collaborators. Duties may be expanded as necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
Ability to collaborate with others and contribute to a team environment.
Proficiency with office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Analyze data and interpret research findings.
Identify appropriate data sources and conduct analyses.
Summarize and explain research findings and their implications.
Verify the accuracy and internal consistency of reports, including required state and federal reports.
Ensure technical documentation and prepare tabular and written reports; give oral presentations.
Complete surveys and reports, discipline-specific accreditation, and admission and grant proposals.
Provide feedback and assistance to turn conclusions and recommendations into actionable findings.
Suggest solutions to data management and statistical analysis problems.
Follow University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Coordinate international biological specimen and sample logistics, shipments, and tracking of compliance with applicable regulations.
Liaise on research studies to support administrative and financial documents for collaborating institutions.
Lead the development and harmonization of study protocols, standard operating procedures, and research workflows.
Coordinate training and capacity-building activities for international and domestic research personnel.
Monitor study progress and deliverables.
Facilitate cross-site communication and problem-solving.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the local research team and global collaborators.
Supervise evaluation projects and junior staff members to support compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations.
