About The Position

This project focuses on the autonomous discovery and optimization of interfacial coatings for energy storage applications. The researcher will work on integrating in situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) into an AI-enabled atomic layer deposition (ALD) system to enable real-time evaluation of ionic and electronic conductivity. Using this platform, they will help develop and optimize coating compositions and thicknesses for improved battery performance. This work aims to accelerate materials discovery and contribute to next-generation energy storage technologies.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.
  • Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months.
  • Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
  • Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
  • Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must pass a screening drug test.
  • Must complete a satisfactory background check.
  • The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
