About The Position
Experienced laboratory professional to supervise the Tissue Procurement Service (TPS) in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology. This role includes managing specimen transport, processing, storage, distribution, and the generation of curated clinical information. The specialist will coordinate with multiple research teams and the IRB to produce a daily schedule of procurement services, develop and maintain procurement protocols, manage procurement records, and assist with audits and IRB renewals. Additionally, the role involves managing laboratory operations, reporting procurement outcomes to the laboratory medical director, and ensuring accurate invoicing and payments with the facility finances business director. The specialist will also oversee the performance and training of technical procurement staff.
