About The Position

The Division of Research and Innovation at Oregon State University is seeking a full-time, 12-month Research Administration Business Systems Analyst. The position supports the effective operation, integration, and continuous improvement of research administration business processes and systems, including Workday Grants and Beaver Research Hub (Huron Research Suite). It contributes to OSU’s research mission by strengthening the technology, data, and processes that support researchers and research administrators, with an emphasis on operational efficiency, compliance, service, and continuous improvement. The Analyst analyzes sponsored-program workflows, documents business requirements, supports system configuration and testing, validates data, troubleshoots system and integration issues, and helps implement improvements across pre-award and post-award operations. In collaboration with the Office for Sponsored Research and Award Administration, Research Support Services, University Information and Technology, finance and HR partners, vendors, and campus stakeholders, the position translates business needs into functional requirements and supports users through system and process changes. The role also supports reporting and dashboards, system and integration monitoring, documentation, training, and ongoing functional system support. The preferred primary work location is OSU’s Corvallis campus, with hybrid options. Hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered for qualified candidates at the supervisor’s discretion. Work is normally during standard Pacific Time hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work and periodic travel potentially required. This is a critical or security-sensitive position requiring successful completion of a criminal history check and a position-qualification determination.
