The Rescue Supervisor/ Instructor is responsible for managing and coordinating all operational functions of the rescue team. This role serves as a lead instructor for Technical Rescue courses, mentoring rescue personnel and ensuring team members maintain the necessary knowledge, skills, and certifications. The position involves assisting in the development and implementation of the Rescue Action Plan, coordinating and supervising all functional groups in rescue activities, and determining organizational and logistical needs. The role also includes developing receiving briefings, situation reports, and mission objectives, as well as developing, coordinating, and delivering Technical Rescue training programs. Evaluating training effectiveness, maintaining records, and identifying areas for improvement are key responsibilities. The supervisor provides situation updates, maintains records, prepares performance evaluations, and ensures accountability for equipment and personnel. A mission-specific Rapid Intervention Plan is developed, and the role oversees human resource functions including performance appraisals, coaching, and counseling. Opportunities for team members to learn new skills and techniques are identified and provided.
