About The Position

Empath Health is seeking a detail-oriented Resale Assistant Store Manager to support its Resale team across stores in Clearwater and St. Petersburg, Florida. The role is responsible for developing and implementing Resale Store policies and procedures in collaboration with the Resale Regional Manager, managing daily operations, coordinating marketing activities, and coordinating and supervising store staff and volunteers. The schedule may be split between the two stores. Suncoast Hospice Resale Shop operations are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Associate degree from a two-year college, or an equivalent combination of experience.
• Three to five years of experience in retail management and marketing.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
• Organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team member with supervisors, volunteers, and the community.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide proof of automobile insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Retail management and marketing experience in the thrift industry, consignment, or used merchandise sales.
• Ability to use the Volgistics database.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foundation Management with developing and implementing an annual business plan and budget for the Resale Stores.
• Coordinate procurement of merchandise, including donations and gifts.
• Coordinate pickup services through volunteer management.
• Manage day-to-day Resale Store operations.
• Analyze, identify, and respond to volunteer needs.
• Recruit Resale Store volunteers according to various volunteer job descriptions.
• Coordinate volunteer training and support.
• Plan, promote, and evaluate sales promotions, trend analysis, problem resolution, store inspections, volunteer utilization, profitability, and overall store operations.
• Adhere to driver safety guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Work a flexible schedule split between the Clearwater and St. Petersburg Resale Stores.
