About The Position

Horizon House, Inc. is a nationally recognized provider of services to adults with support needs due to developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues and substance abuse. Horizon House is Pennsylvania’s oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, Horizon House has been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, development/intellectual disabilities and homelessness to help stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community. The incumbent will provide financial coordination and budgeting assistance to assigned consumers and residential sites.

Requirements

  • A. A. degree in the Accounting field and 2 years’ experience in the Mental Health field; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
  • Some knowledge of general accounting practices.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Very good analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Excel and Quicken preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the central collective Representative Payee Account.
  • Monitor and assist the fund custodian with financial planning and management of Representative Payee Account.
  • Monitor the utilization of client funds, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and requirements concerning finance.
