About The Position

Supports order and delivery interaction between National Hotel Accounts and Gordon Food Service (GFS) via telephone and email. Supports National Account Specialists by assisting with follow up on shortages, JIT orders and non-stock orders with emphasis on United POs. Develops a working knowledge of the contracts, assists in compliance and cost savings reports. Offers product substitutions for shortages. Promotes and utilizes e-Commerce technologies. Participates in monthly internal and external meetings for both Entegra and Avendra. Supports and assists National Account Specialists for vacation coverage and seasonally/special events based on needs.

Responsibilities

Manages customer orders, (telephone and electronic).
Communicates with customers regarding out of stocks and substitution options.
Maintains knowledge of specific GFS systems, distribution centers.
Knowledge of products and GPO contracts, to be acquired over time with guidance from Specialists.
Arranges exception deliveries in collaboration with Transportation departments and other delivery services.
Determines appropriate credits for customers.
Assist with compliance reporting to determine cost savings opportunities.
Collaborates with National Account Specialists and supports customers with product sourcing, JIT orders and tracking of non-stock orders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
