This role involves working closely with selected accounts on a day-to-day basis, handling all necessary sales and administrative functions. The position requires monitoring inventory, discussing upcoming requirements with accounts, and assisting with demand planning for standard items, contracted business, and daily procurement. The representative will also be responsible for issuing and filing purchase orders, coordinating contractual business and inventory levels with the sales group, and supporting branch inventory management through review, purchasing coordination, and continuous improvement. A key aspect of the role is developing a working knowledge of branch purchasing processes, inventory management, supplier relationships, and program account requirements to provide backup support and ensure operational continuity. The representative will monitor customer order status to ensure on-time delivery, proactively communicate any delays or issues to customers, and review account profit performance to identify areas for improvement. The role also involves anticipating potential excess and aged inventory issues by reviewing in-stock and on-order positions, and performing all duties in accordance with Samuel’s Customer Bill of Rights. Other related duties as assigned.
