About The Position
The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. A Shipping Clerk works with management during the order selection shift.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Flexibility and willingness to work weekend is a must
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
- Possess basic computer skills
- Possess strong communication skills, organization, adaptability and problem solving
- 1-year experience in a similar capacity
Responsibilities
- Researches problem locations in order to prevent product shortage
- Creates pallet moves to fill selection locations
- Releases created reselect assignments
- Communicates issues to supervision
- Verifies accuracy of load diagrams
- Prepare shipping documents prior to truck departure from warehouse
- Perform load close process to release the store order for shipment
- Coordinate truck departure with Dispatch
- Verify and retain shipment records containing routing details
- Responsible for order processing claims
- All other duties as assigned
