About The Position

As a Reporting and Corporate Accounting Intern, you will gain insight into the Merch and Goods Not for Resale and Payables Team, who is responsible for managing reporting processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Balancing process efficiency and accuracy through the utilization of technology is a key priority, both through self-identification and influencing internal and external partners. In addition, you’ll participate in a summer series that includes our executive speaker events, Excel and PowerPoint workshops, and personal and professional development sessions. In this role, you will gain insights into how we approach many challenges associated with being one of the nation’s leading retailers. This internship also will give you the opportunity to develop industry-related skills in a professional environment, network with Best Buy employees and explore a wide variety of career paths. This internship runs from June to August 2027. This role is remote eligible, allowing you to work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. For the duration of the internship, you are required to live and work in the United States. This internship has the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, graduating fall 2027 or spring 2028
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5pm (Central Time)
  • Must be able to commit to the internship start and end date of 6/1/2027- 8/6/2027
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc., will not be considered)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the compiling, monitoring and analysis of financial data, identifying anomalies and communicating findings.
  • Assist with resolution of payment processing errors with external 3rd parties
  • Assist in preparing reports and summaries for leadership and cross functional partners
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
