At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. Our successes and accomplishments are driven by embodying and upholding values, which include creativity, integrity, inclusiveness and relevance. Do you think you have the ability and drive to keep up with this exciting, ever-changing industry? Whether it be in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you would be joining a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories that are important to Canadians. Are you a collaborative team player who’s passionate about local news and current events and has a strong interest in uncovering issues that matter to people living in your community? CBC News Kelowna, Kamloops, and Prince George are looking for experienced multiplatform reporters to work in our newsroom that produces local news and current affairs for CBC’s Daybreak and Radio West programs, and all platforms ensuring stories and voices from the interior of B.C. are reflected in our journalism across digital, radio, social, streaming and TV. You will put audience needs at the centre of your journalism, ensuring your work highlights a broad range of perspectives, experiences and points of view, especially those from people who have been traditionally underrepresented in the media. You will regularly find opportunities to meet new people and expand your network of contacts. You will ensure that all CBC journalistic standards are met and that our stories are fair, balanced, accurate, thoughtful, immediate and resonate with the communities we serve.
