About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Report Developer to join our Long Island team on-site. In this role, you will examine business requirements and build critical reports and data extracts that our healthcare clients rely on. You will act as a technical problem-solver, analyzing report logic, optimizing code, and working directly with clinicians and end-users to ensure they have the data they need to provide excellent patient care.

Requirements

  • Advanced SQL Scripting (Required): Must have strong, hands-on experience writing complex SQL scripts from scratch, as well as building stored procedures and functions.
  • 2–4 years of relevant work experience in report development, technical support, and software maintenance.
  • Strong fundamentals in Relational Databases, Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), and ETL processes.
  • Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to provide on-call support and travel up to 10% as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a digital healthcare environment or familiarity with the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of Altera Solutions and our client base.
  • Ability to code, maintain, and troubleshoot Medical Logic Modules (MLM).

Responsibilities

  • Develop stored procedures, build reports, and create data extracts that meet specific client requirements.
  • Partner directly with clinicians, end-users, and business analysts to understand, interpret, and document business needs into effective reporting solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance existing report code to improve efficiency, replace obsolete code, and implement procedural enhancements.
  • Liaise with developers and testing teams to ensure product functionality is well-documented, peer-reviewed, and tested appropriately.
  • Provide on-call support, analyze production-related issues, and provide on-site support during system activations.
  • Manage change control (including activation and back-out plans), document project deliverables, and provide accurate status reporting.
