Your primary objective is to ensure that our forward-picking locations are always stocked. By working proactively rather than reactively, you enable our Order Pickers to work without interruption, directly driving our yard velocity and customer fulfillment. Balance In Action: We offer a predictable, seasonal schedule that rotates twice a year to match operational demand: Peak Season (April 1 – November 30): 2nd Shift 11:30 am-10:00 pm Off-Peak Season (December 1 – March 30): 1st Shift 5:30 am - 4:00 pm This position offers a unique, alternating schedule designed for work-life balance: Week 1: Monday – Thursday (4-day weekend) Week 2: Tuesday – Friday (2-day weekend)

Requirements

  • Your performance is measured by your direct impact on yard velocity and keeping the Order Pickers moving.
  • The workload driver is a function of total yard velocity, which is a combination of inbound PO lines and outbound sales lines.
  • Picker Downtime: Measured by how often pickers wait for a location to be filled; the target is near zero.
  • Inventory Accuracy Rate: Maintaining high accuracy during cycle counts and bin audits.
  • Yard Organization & Safety Audit Scores: Ensuring the yard is clean, safe, and easily navigable.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively replenish all primary picking locations from backstock or overstock based on reports or walk-throughs.
  • Manage proper stock rotation (FIFO), consolidate partial units, and perform regular cycle counts and location audits.
  • Handle all material coming back into inventory from job sites, which includes stock returns, special order returns, and returns brought by customers.
  • Unload returns from delivery trucks to ensure quick turnarounds for the Fleet team.
  • Process items that are not returned to the vendor (toss items) and actively manage the liquidation pile in coordination with the Inventory team.
  • Facilitate small product moves or racking changes, which includes executing the physical moves, making ERP updates, creating labels, and communicating properly to the team.
  • Maintain overall yard cleanliness and safety standards.
