About The Position

The Replenishment Lead role is part of the Replenishment Buying organization at the Market level. This position supports Replenishment activities within a market by managing logistics, sales, and costing coordination for product orders. The Replenishment Lead acts as the primary contact for Replenishment in the market, collaborating with the VP Sales and VP Operations to address immediate product needs. This role ensures the Replenishment function meets its commitments, including maintaining product supply continuity and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). The position serves as a liaison between the market and the Replenishment Service Center (RSC), maintaining constant communication and collaborating on demand changes and special projects. Responsibilities include monitoring inbound product quality, executing replenishment functions according to US Foods policies, and providing expertise on supply chain systems and replenishment procedures. Additionally, the Replenishment Lead manages Replenishment Assistants who support market operations. This is an onsite role, Monday through Friday, in Seabrook, NH.

Requirements

  • 5 years of purchasing work experience required.
  • Proven experience of influencing people / management.
  • Extensive food service knowledge and supply chain experience.
  • Proficient with various Desktop software (e.g., Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally and draw linkages to business.
  • High attention to detail, strong customer orientation, and fact-based decision making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or supply chain management, or equivalent food service industry work experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily replenishment duties and monitor KPIs.
  • Ensure key Replenishment functions are fulfilled by working with Area Buyers and Replenishment Assistants.
  • Monitor inbound product quality and investigate any product concerns or returns due to quality issues.
  • Manage the removal of slow, dead, excess, and obsolete inventory as directed by Category Management.
  • Assist with and follow up on inventory management concerns such as spoilage, alert date product, and suspense inventory with Category Management.
  • Oversee the Credit Debit Memo Request process and drop ship billings through the Replenishment Assistant.
  • Track key service performance indicators for the Market, including Customer Service Level, Inventory Loss Minimization, Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH), Customer Order Fill Rates, Excess and Obsolete Inventory Reserve, Managed Cases/Freight Income, Inbound Cases/Pallet, Slow and Dead Inventory, and Special Order Response Time.
  • Drive process consistency and build strong relationships with cross-functional partners overseeing the market.
  • Work directly with the VP Sales and VP Operations to ensure the market meets customer commitments, and influence them on alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Maintain open communication between cross-functional partners and the Replenishment Assistant regarding business updates, Market initiatives, and demand change information.
  • Participate in regular market status calls to identify and remedy service issues, spoilage risks, etc.
  • Support the Area buying team with routine buying support tasks.
  • Own the review of specific reports (e.g., Unusual Demand, BIT, Inventory Rebalance Process, ICC/LCR pricing) and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Handle logistics and costing tasks, including accepting PO blueprints, managing monthly freight rates, checking Arrowstream non-compliant orders, and investigating/resolving costing issues.
  • Provide buying coverage and fill in for temporarily unavailable buyer bandwidth.
  • Manage a team of Replenishment Assistants and drive continuous improvement within the team.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in supply chain processes and market intelligence.
  • Share current challenges, operational learnings, and opportunities with the Area Replenishment staff to improve standard processes.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and information flow between Replenishment Assistants and Area Buyers.
  • Build a strong culture of customer service orientation, collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide coaching and process guidance to the team, and collaborate with Area Replenishment leadership to develop team capabilities.
  • Provide regular 1x1 feedback to the team based on cross-functional inputs and individual performance.
