Repairs & Maintenance Technician - Part Time Days/Evenings/Weekends
About The Position
The Jefferson City Capitol Plaza Hotel is seeking a Part-Time Repairs & Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, completing and documenting work orders, and troubleshooting and repairing various hotel systems and equipment. The position requires a minimum of 6 months of general maintenance experience and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, squatting, walking, and standing for extended periods. Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of general maintenance experience required
- Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to bend, squat, walk, and stand for extended periods
Nice To Haves
- Hotel maintenance experience preferred
- HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including guest room care
- Complete and document guest and associate work orders
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Maintain, clean, and adjust pool systems and chemicals
- Repair furniture, fixtures, and hotel equipment such as laundry, kitchen, and small appliances
- Perform seasonal landscaping, groundskeeping, and trash removal duties
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment
