About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role will assist in the operation of the Stone processing plants. The Repairman I is responsible for checking conveyors, screens, and crushers; and reporting operating problems and oversize stone. They will start and shut down plant equipment as necessary, and perform general clean up around the plant. This role will also make minor repairs and adjustments, inspect and grease/lubricate plant equipment, and will be able to proficiently operate the plant. The Repairman I will perform other miscellaneous duties as may be requested.

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude.
Capability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant and quarry equipment.
Ability to understand and follow technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
Awareness of safe work habits while working around heavy machinery and moving equipment.
Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in outdoor and indoor industrial environments.
Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach to supporting operational needs.
