About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role will assist in the operation of the Stone processing plants.

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude and the capability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant and quarry equipment
Ability to understand and follow technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety practices
Awareness of safe work habits while working around heavy machinery and moving equipment
Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in outdoor and indoor industrial environments
Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach to supporting operational needs
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Responsibilities

Checking conveyors, screens, and crushers; and reporting operating problems and oversize stone.
Starting and shutting down plant equipment as necessary, and performing general clean up around the plant.
Making minor repairs and adjustments, inspecting and greasing/lubricating plant equipment.
Proficiently operating the plant.
Performing other miscellaneous duties as may be requested.
