About The Position

The Repair Technician will diagnose, disassemble, and repair Stryker Instruments, including sub-assemblies, Loaners, Certified Pre-Owned items, and customer-owned units. The role ensures that all repairs meet quality, correctness, and proper procedure standards, adhering to safety and quality guidelines to meet product specifications. This position involves independent problem-solving, communication with the Support Team, and assisting peers, particularly in international repair coaching. The technician will also train new team members, share improvement suggestions, work across various work centers, and support colleagues by sharing knowledge and best practices. Compliance with documentation procedures, maintaining an orderly workstation, and completing required training on time are essential. The role requires accurate use of material flow processes and quick adaptation to changing conditions. Technicians will work from engineering drawings and/or documented instructions. Contribution to operations projects, Business Unit Projects, and Lean Continuous Improvement initiatives is expected, including participation in Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI), problem-solving, and submitting suggestions for safety, quality, or lean programs.

Requirements

  • Experience reading prints and schematics
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • SAP and/or Excel experience

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, disassemble & repair Stryker Instruments including sub-assemblies, Loaners, Certified Pre-Owned items, and customer-owned units, to ensure quality, correctness, and proper procedures are followed.
  • Ensure products meet safety, quality, and quantity standards; follow procedures and directions to meet product specifications.
  • Resolve issues independently and communicate updates to the Support Team.
  • Assist others in resolving issues by offering advice and solutions, coaching peers associated with international repair.
  • Train new team members, sharing insight on improvement suggestions, working on various work centers/repairs, and supporting other team members and support staff by sharing knowledge, best practices, and experience.
  • Comply with document procedures; maintain an orderly, compliant workstation, and ensure on-time completion of all required training.
  • Use material flow processes accurately, learning and responding quickly to changing conditions.
  • Work from engineering drawings and/or follow documented instructions.
  • Contribute to operations projects/Business Unit Projects/Lean Continuous Improvement, participating in MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement), problem-solving, and run Tier 1 as needed while also submitting suggestions and solutions in the areas of safety, quality, or lean programs.
