About The Position

Qualitrol International, a global automation parts reseller and repair facility, is hiring a Repair Technician for its repair division. The role initially focuses on variable frequency drive (VFD) and general repairs. The technician will work alongside expert repair technicians and cross-train to expand repair experience across other product categories. This position also requires flexibility to assist the team as the business grows and to represent company values in interactions with customers, vendors, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Two years of board-level repair experience.
• Highly competent in hand soldering surface-mount components.
• Ability to identify common electronic components.
• Expertise in soldering and desoldering both through-hole and surface-mount components.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex, Schneider Electric Altivar, or Siemens Simodrive equipment is preferred.
• Basic electronics training or schooling; electrical engineering schooling is preferred.
• Experience repairing VFDs, drives, or robotic controls.

Responsibilities

• Initially focus on VFD repair and general repair.
• Cross-train with other expert repair technicians to broaden repair experience across other commodities.
• Assist where needed as the team and business grow.
