At STERIS, Repair Technicians help customers create a healthier and safer world by providing healthcare and life science product and service solutions. The technician inspects, repairs, and refurbishes surgical instruments in a field-based setting, working from a mobile repair truck at customer sites and, in more condensed markets, from regional labs. The role delivers timely, quality repairs that meet compliance standards and may require occasional overnight travel. Daily travel is required in a company vehicle, and the position is safety sensitive. Candidates must be based in Pennsylvania to support the assigned territory. Previous instrument repair experience is not required; verifiable hands-on repair, assembly, testing, and other transferable experience may qualify. The technician performs basic repairs and maintenance, completes customer documentation and preventative maintenance inspections within their training and capability, and follows safety, vehicle, DOT, company, and customer protocols. The work is primarily inside a mobile repair truck, with frequent trips inside hospitals and support for various locations across the assigned territory. The position requires flexible scheduling, including early or late hours and sometimes nights and weekends based on customer needs. Candidates must meet applicable driver and DOT requirements, pass a DOT medical/physical examination, and be able to perform the stated lifting and pushing tasks. STERIS will conduct a seven-year driving record check as part of onboarding.
