Repair Technician
About The Position
This role involves performing technical tasks related to product repair. The position has three levels (I, II, and III) with increasing performance expectations regarding repair speed (pieces per hour). Higher levels also involve training new hires and assisting team members. Key responsibilities include accurate system entries, maintaining inventory accuracy, performing repairs according to established targets and procedures, reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings, and working cooperatively within a team to achieve goals. The role also requires adherence to the Quality Management System, maintaining an organized workspace according to 5-S standards, and participating in sustainability efforts like waste reduction and recycling. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrates the ability to apply training to technical tasks (Level I).
- Maintain 3 pcs/hr (Level I).
- Meet or exceed 3.2 pcs/hr (Level II).
- Meet or exceed 3.7 pcs/hr (Level III).
- Assist in the training of new hires (Level III).
- Be a source of help to other team members (Level III).

Responsibilities
- Perform system entries and transactions associated with the repair process with minimal errors.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and batch traceability by following proper procedures for component inventory.
- Repair product at established targets for the technician's level.
- Use necessary systems to review BOMs and drawings for complete and accurate repairs.
- Understand and follow established procedures including product labeling and testing requirements.
- Work productively and cooperatively with the team.
- Maintain strong communication with supervisor and team members.
- Be proficient in all areas within responsibility and promote changes for improvement.
- Control costs by working efficiently and repairing only what is needed.
- Understand and follow the organization's Quality Management System.
- Keep work area organized following 5-S work standards and workstation cleaning requirements.
- Participate with all sustainability efforts including waste reduction and recycling.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
