About The Position
ACX Whitby is seeking a Repair Technician responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles damaged in accidents or collisions. This role involves inspecting and evaluating damage, replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a licensed technician capable of performing frame work, handling both minor and major repairs, and adhering to OEM procedures.
Requirements
- Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
- Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
Nice To Haves
- Red Seal Certification
- Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses
- I-CAR certification training and I-CAR certification
Responsibilities
- Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
- Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
- Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders
- Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job
