About The Position

The Screw Compressor Repair Technician is responsible for the teardown and rebuild of a variety of valves and packing cases to meet OEM Standards. This role involves inspecting and repairing screw compressors, including changing gears, bearings, and seals. The technician will also perform blind and air testing, and work with various valves and packing cases. The position requires the ability to read dial calipers, recommend solutions, and possess basic hand tool, machining, and shop maintenance knowledge. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years mechanical shop/field experience.
Observes safety procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
Knowledge of MS Office and operate a Windows based computer.
Pro-active, problem-solving individual who is able to manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
