About The Position

The Composite Repair Technician I will Repair damaged carbon fiber parts to meet customer specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• 1-3 years of composites experience in Finishing or Lamination
• Have a can do, positive attitude
• Contributes to building a positive work environment
• Interacts well with fellow co-workers and other departments, and is able to effectively communicate and actively listen
• Adapts to changes in the work environment and production schedules
• Must be willing to work well under pressure as part of a strong team and meet deadlines
• Is organized and able to prioritize and respond in a timely manner
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback
• Physical capability to lift and move products as required
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with customers regarding repair requirements
• Organize, stage and maintain dedicated location for repair parts
• Analyze and document repair work for quote creation
• Perform composite repair, fabrication and modification using hand tools
• Work with composites using pre-preg
• Sand and grind composite materials
• Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
• Performs other duties as assigned
