About The Position

This is a safety-sensitive position responsible for repairing merchandise to company standards while adhering to all safety guidelines. The role involves repairing various types of home furnishings, managing inventory of damaged goods, assembling furniture, and assisting other departments as needed. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, basic computer knowledge, and a positive attitude towards customers and team members.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Ability to learn proper scan gun procedures and care.
Basic computer knowledge to operate Storis.
Positive attitude when working with customers.
Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling and safety procedures.
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, climbing, crawling, walking, pulling, lifting, talking, typing, hearing/listening and repetitive motion.
Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

Repairing merchandise up to company standards while abiding by all safety guidelines, including recliners, couches, tables, lamps, beds, dressers, etc.
Tagging and repairing merchandise as needed.
Being on time and ready to work with all materials.
Accurately and efficiently receiving and storing damaged merchandise using proper scan gun procedures.
Ensuring accurate inventory of damaged merchandise.
Repairing damaged merchandise; placing and managing merchandise on the floor.
Maintaining a clean workspace and a clean "As Is" area.
Assembling furniture.
Assisting with other departments in the warehouse.
Working safely.
Performing other duties as directed by management.
