About The Position

Primary role of position is to repair, refurbish, stage, de-stage, and/or configure a wide variety of components or subassemblies with minimum technical assistance. Role responsible for ensuring smooth flow of production using a high degree of organization, expertise, and problem solving skills. Required to produce a high quality, cost effective product that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Required to repair systems, modules, and assemblies using an LRP. Focus on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of repair center processes. Function as part of a team that provides repair and diagnostic solutions. Comply with Depot Center policies, ESD requirements, process and workmanship standards. Efficiently use skills, tools, diagnostic and test equipment to perform rework or repair procedures. Prepare estimates of time and material required to refurbish, reconfigure, rework or repair assemblies, subassemblies and equipment. Determine testing requirements and assist in developing a Local Repair Procedures (LRPs) on equipment for which Standard Repair Procedures have not been written. Acquire additional training when necessary to meet changing business requirements. Perform periodic preventive maintenance and make necessary repairs on test fixtures. Inspects product based on quality checklist; notifies supervisor of any discrepancies; Records inventory transactions. Makes routine adjustments to work area machines or systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 years of related experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand the fundamental principles and elements of problem solving techniques and with guidance can follow set procedures and guidelines established by the company for problem solving
  • Ability to use appropriate tools and forms, collect necessary data, and can identify problems and determine efficient and effective solutions
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand the basic fundamentals of, and the need for, a quality effort in all tasks undertaken
  • Demonstrates the ability to gather data for examination in a pre-determined format following specified steps or directions
