About The Position

The Repair Support Associate prepares firefighter personal protective equipment (PPE) garments for repair. The role opens seams, removes damaged components, and stages garments for Sewing Machine Operators to complete repairs. The associate follows repair instructions and company safety guidelines while helping maintain an organized, efficient production workflow. The position is located at 703 East 134st, Bronx, NY, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Flexibility to work overtime when needed to meet client needs is required. The starting rate is $18–$21 per hour. The position reports to the TotalCare Center Manager.

Requirements

Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Good attendance record.
Ability to follow instructions consistently with minimum supervision.

Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to meet productivity goals.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, and bend as needed.
May be required to lift objects up to 30 pounds using proper lifting technique.

Basic understanding of garment construction or experience with alterations.

Responsibilities
