About The Position

Local Bounti is seeking a Swing Shift Repair and Maintenance Technician to join its Repair and Maintenance team and work closely with Production and Machine Operation teams. The role supports production by maintaining and repairing facility equipment, addressing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and helping ensure safe and efficient operations. The technician also documents maintenance work, supports spare-parts inventory, and collaborates with other departments to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment and machinery.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, or food production environment.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks to support production and keep equipment operating efficiently.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Implement and carry out preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment life and prevent unplanned breakdowns.
• Repair a variety of equipment, including HVAC systems, conveyor belts, pumps, and other facility machinery.
• Provide the production team with technical support and advice on equipment use and maintenance practices.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repair logs, parts used, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with other departments to support seamless operations and provide feedback on efficiency improvements.
• Follow safety protocols and standards during maintenance activities.
• Assist in managing inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies used for maintenance and repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
