Repair Design Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking candidates with experience as Repair Design Engineers or Stress Engineers who possess a strong understanding of design and hands-on experience working on non-conformances (MRB/repair dispositions). The ideal candidate will have experience with aircraft primary and secondary structures, including work on the shop floor. Primary structures include the fuselage, wings, empennage, nacelles, and flight control surfaces. Secondary structures include fairings & fillets, cowlings, control surfaces, doors, winglets & leading edges. Typical detail parts in Wichita include fuselage skins/frames/stringers/floor beams/pressure bulkheads/door structures/cockpit structures/structural machined parts/sheet-metal assemblies/composite aerostructures.
Requirements
- Experience as a Repair Design Engineer or Stress Engineer
- Strong understanding of design
- Hands-on experience working on non-conformances (MRB/repair dispositions)
- Experience with aircraft primary and secondary structures
- Experience working on the shop floor
- Experience in Repair design with CATIA V5 and GD&T of Aero structures metallic and/or composite structures
- Engineering release/change control
- Repair substantiation
