About The Position

The Repair and Maintenance Technician supports Weatherford workshop operations by inspecting, repairing, maintaining, testing, and refurbishing oilfield equipment. The role prepares tools and equipment for field deployment while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards. It also supports equipment movement and workshop organization, and contributes to continuous improvement and compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements. The position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to read technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of a shop environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

• Four or more years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, test, and maintain oilfield tools and equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, refurbish, assemble, and prepare equipment for field operations.
• Perform measurements and inspections using precision tools and testing equipment.
• Accurately complete work orders, maintenance records, and required documentation.
• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and lifting equipment when certified.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement, quality initiatives, and compliance with HSE standards.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory, and equipment movement as needed.
