About The Position

LOT Commercial Property Services is seeking a dependable, hands-on team member who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. The Repair and Maintenance Technician performs various building maintenance and facilities support functions such as cleaning and/or repairing building fixtures and equipment, graffiti removal, signage repair or placement, light fixture replacements, etc. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes staying active, working with their hands, and being part of a team that represents the company out in the community. This role supports buildings throughout the Greater Los Angeles area, including Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange Counties.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, handyman services, or a related field.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English, including safety procedures, work orders, equipment manuals, and company communication.
  • General building repair and maintenance, including troubleshooting and performing repairs such as: General building maintenance, Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, fixtures, clogs, shut-off valves), Basic electrical work (light fixtures, ballasts, outlets, breakers, switches), Drywall repair, painting, and patchwork, Door, lock, and hardware repairs, Preventive maintenance and minor mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and complete assignments efficiently.
  • Must have a Valid California Driver’s License with a minimum of 3 years of driving history.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude when interacting with tenants, customers, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and general facilities.
  • Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inspect the exterior of buildings for paint damage, repair surfaces to match existing color, and include touch-up painting for curbs, bollards, and other structures as needed.
  • Identify and assess concrete damage on walkways, curbs, or other paved surfaces and perform necessary repairs, such as filling cracks or repairing damaged areas.
  • Troubleshoot and repair things on-site when approved.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary.
