About The Position

This role involves working in the Repack Department, Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime as requested. The position requires putting labels on product, packaging items for shipment, grading product for quality control, pulling orders from the warehouse, repacking cases into smaller units, assembling and stacking boxes, operating a conveyor, and stocking items. The job also requires ensuring the quality of produce meets acceptable standards, following all safety rules and regulations, and performing other requests from management. The work environment is cold/wet (approx. -20 to 35 degrees) and requires standing for long periods. Maintaining a clean work area is essential.

Requirements

Proven ability to communicate and perform simple arithmetic
Knowledge of produce
Must be able to work in a cold/wet environment (approx. -20 to 35 degrees) and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

Put labels on product to be shipped
Package items and prepare them for shipment
Grade product for quality control
Pull orders from warehouse based on manifest
Repack cases into smaller increments (i.e. 5-10lb. units)
Assemble boxes and Stack boxes
Operate conveyor
Stock items
Ensure quality of product is acceptable and meets standards
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Follow any other requests or instructions given by the Manager or Supervisor
Ensure repack room is clean at the beginning of the shift as well as at the end of the shift
Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work/lunchroom area
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety
